About Web Financials

Web Financials is an Enterprise Wide Reporting Solution and Document Management System. Several modules are available that make up the entire suite. Choose one or more modules to make up your custom Web Financials installation.

All Web Financials products are administrated and utilized via Internet Explorer. This means you can control all aspects of Web Financials from any web browser in your organization. Additionally, all modules retain a strict Zero-Footprint architecture policy, meaning absolutely no software is ever installed or downloaded to the desktop computers, and all processing and formatting is accomplished on the server based platform. This allows you to reduce the need for high performance desktop machines and focus your attention on the single server investment.

The core server application is built on a centralized data warehouse called MultiMart. All financial report data and meta data storage is housed within MultiMart (except for Ad Hoc data which may reside on different server platforms). Financial data is extracted from your ERP system, such as SmartStream, into MultiMart on a scheduled basis (typically daily). All balance and transaction detail is extracted during this time and made available to the Web Financials Suite of Tools.

Web Financials can be setup to be accessed from the Internet, or only from your Corporate Intranet. Since Web Financials uses TCP/IP as the base protocol your options are limitless. Users can access their individual user accounts once logged into Web Financials. All installed modules are available within their own current environment that may be customized to the users particular needs.

Several different modules are available to help your organization. Web G/L, A/P, A/R, Budget, Assets, and Supplies are designed to make the building and distribution of Financial Statements simple and easy. Create Balance Sheets, Income Statements and other financial type reports which may also include full drill-down and drill-through to transaction level detail.

Additionally, Web Ad Hoc can be used to include non-balance data in a Financial Report, or to create a completely non-financial report individually. Web Ad Hoc can retrieve data from outside the MultiMart warehouse, such as an Oracle Database or Sybase database. You optionally can link financial information to the Ad Hoc results to filter the results based on dynamic parameters.

Web Repository is also seamlessly integrated into the Web Financials Suite of Tools by providing user access to historical archived reports, and non-Web Financials reports and documents. Users can upload and store multiple versions of objects, such as Microsoft Access reports or Word documents very easily. Share objects, such as Memo's or company alerts with individuals or groups throughout your organization without congesting the email server or granting access to shared file servers.

Web Repository's Archive ability is very useful to users as it acts as a self-service utility to historical reports. Archived reports also maintain their ability to drill-down and drill-through to source details such as invoices or purchase orders just like the core financial applications.
